Naked

Here before you,
covered in everything
that hides me,
masks my flaws
and makes me pretty
One by one...
I strip for you,
dropping each piece
as if it meant nothing.
I want you to see me,
The real me
Just as God made me.
Tired of hiding
the things that make me,
I'm now bare
Arms open in a slow spin...
You look at me
and respond...

This was a beautiful poem. I see it as God's gift between married persons. To be able to enjoy the sight of one's mate. To have no shame between us and toward each other. It is such a vulnerable and beautiful thing.
Lovely. That's all I have to say. Lovely.
To strip away the facade leaves us to realize that true beauty comes from within. Thank you for this beautiful poem, Felicia
